Beautiful vintage convertible brooch and pendant featuring an ornate Victorian or Renaissance Revival-style design. The silver-tone setting has decorative openwork and floral detailing surrounding a glossy oval black cabochon. Four clear round rhinestones provide additional sparkle and contrast.
The reverse is fitted with both a pin mechanism and a folding pendant bail, allowing the piece to be worn as either a traditional brooch or suspended from a necklace chain. No maker’s mark or metal-content stamp was found.
The black center appears to be glass, resin, or a simulated hematite-style cabochon; it has not been professionally tested and is not being represented as a natural gemstone. The setting is silver-tone costume-jewelry metal rather than sterling unless independently tested otherwise.
The piece is in good vintage pre-owned condition with age-related surface wear, light scratches, and some variation to the antiqued finish. The center cabochon shows visible surface scratching under close inspection. All four clear rhinestones are present. Please examine the photographs carefully for the complete condition.
